Ukulele Festivals Around the World
A guide to ukulele festivals in Hawaii and around the world. Includes ukulele festivals in Hawaii, on the U.S. Mainland and in Belgium, Canada, France, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Ukulele Contests
Information about two ukulele competitions in Honolulu on the island of Oahu, a competition in Waimea on the island of Kauai, and a ukulele contest in Tokyo japan.

Japan-Hawaii Ukulele Picnic
This annual Japanese ukulele picnic and festival was founded in 2000 in Shonan, Japan. The first event held in Hawaii was the 1st Annual Japan-Hawaii Ukulele Picnic in Kakaako Waterfront Park on Valentine's Day, Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 11:00 am. to Sunset. The event featured performances by some of the top ukulele players in Hawaii and Japaon.

Hawaii Ukulele Exhibition
This annual ukulele exhibition and conference has been organized every year since 2002 by the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii. The event takes place in the fall and it includes concerts, jam sessions, and seminars for players and instrument builders.

2006 Kamaka Hawaii Benefit Concert
There will be a concert at the Hawaii Convention Center in Honolulu on Saturday, March 18, 2006 to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Kamaka Ukulele Company. The concert will feature ukulele greats such as Jake Shimabukuro, Benny Chong, Aunty Genoa Keawe, and others. The event is a benefit to support the Uke's for Kids program that provides free ukuleles to underpriviledged children in Hawaii.

2006 Hilo Ukulele Workshop
Brittni Paiva, Benny Chong, and Byron Yasui were the guest speakers at a ukulele workshop on May 6, 2006 that is being organized by the Culture and Arts Division of the Hawaii County Parks and Recreation Department. The event will take place at the Naniloa Hotel in Hilo and it will include special topic workshops and jam sessions.
