    History and Purpose of the Hall of Fame
    The Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame was founded in 1994. The purpose of the organization is to inspire and engage new generations of Hawaiians in the perpetration of Hawaii's traditional music through performance and exhibits. An important goal of the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame is to create a physical home for the organization where historic exhibits can be permanently displayed and Hawaiian music resource information can be collected, stored, and shared.
