  • Birth Date: November 17, 1955
  • Won a Waikiki Shell Slack Key Guitar Contest in 1979
  • Released his first album in 1980: Nahenahe (Hula)
  • Formed a group called the Kipapa Rush Band
  • In 1985 the band recorded "Hardly Working (Kahanu)
  • That album won the group a 1986 Most Promising Artist Hoku Award
  • In 1986 George Kuo joined the Sons of Hawaii
  • George's solo album "Aloha No Na Kupuna" won 1996 Best Instrumental Hoku Award

    Albums recorded by George Kuo include "Nahenahe", "Hardly Working", Aloha No Na Kupuna, and Hawaiian Touch. He has also recorded with other artists and groups, including the the Sons of Hawaii, the Kipapa Rush Band, Barney Isaacs, and Hui Aloha.
