August 2009 George Kahumoku Jr. Concert in Watsonville
George Kahumoku Jr Watsonville California Concert Hawaiian slack key guitar master musician George Kahumoku, Jr. will be performing in concert on Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Before the concert, between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. there will be workshops in hula, steel guitar, and slack key ukulele. The concert will celebrate the release of the new "Kani Wai" duet album George recorded with Bob Brozman. The concert will be held at Mello Center Theater and it is being presented by the Pajaro Valley Performing Arts Association.

    Free Summer Concert Series in West Oahu
    Pililaau Summer Concert Series Tidal Wave Entertainment has been presenting a series of Summer 2009 Sunset Cafe Hawaiian Music Concerts every Saturday night at the Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae, West Oahu. The concerts are free and the general public is welcome to attend if they can show a photo ID when they enter the facility grounds. Artists appearing in the remaining Summer 2009 concerts include Simplicity August 8, Kapena August 15, Holunape, August 22, and Kuuipo Kumukahi on August 29.
